General Surgery

The minimum and most appropriate surgical procedure is planned in our Department of General Surgery. The patients are different from each other and need special treatment. We keep this principle in mind when treating patients.

Laparoscopic Surgery

Laparoscopy, which is known as closed surgical method, is used especially in the digestive system operations (gallbladder, thin and large bowel surgery, appendectomy). In open surgery, to reach the inside of the abdomen, it was necessary to make an incision covering the abdomen. Laparoscopic (closed) technique can be completed with a few incisions 0.5-1 cm in size.

SILS (single incision laparoscopic surgery) surgery is performed successfully in our clinic. In this technique, abdominal wall hernias such as gallbladder, appendicitis, inguinal hernia can be treated through the umbilicus. This technique has many advantages such as faster return to normal life after surgery, less painful recovery time and smaller scars.

Hemorrhoid Treatment by Laser Method

In this method, the laser is applied to the roots of the hemorrhoids with a special needle.Thus, by closing the vessels, the hemorrhoid mouthpiece becomes smaller and disappears, and bleeding is rapidly controlled. When performed by experienced physicians, the success rate is almost at the same level as the surgical method.

Advantages of laser method:

• Does not require narcosis.
• People can return to their daily life after the treatment.
• Muscles are not damaged because sharp objects are not in use.
• Since rectal muscles are not cut, there is no problem of stool and gas incontinence..

Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) is the process of placing a flexible tube into the stomach from the abdominal wall to feed patients who do not receive oral food. This method allows solid-liquid foods and medicines to reach the stomach directly without passing through the esophagus. This method is particularly suitable for feeding patients who have been in the intensive care unit for a long time and have lost their swallowing reflex for any reason. Compared to parenteral nutrition, enteral nutrition is less expensive and less morbid. Metabolic complications are less common.

Physical therapy is mainly used in conjunction with other therapies in musculoskeletal and nervous system diseases.
